Making Peace is an exhibition connecting the arts, education and peace. It educates the public, especially young people, on positive elements to bridge differences, resolve conflicts and build sustainable peace.
Making Peace consists of 124 photographs on 100 huge panels. It is curated by Ashley Woods, established by the International Peace Bureau (Nobel Peace Laureate organisation) and supported by swisspeace.
The exhibition describes the five key elements that are important for lasting peace. It shows that there have been significant breakthroughs in spite of two world wars and many bloody conflicts; For example, the end of the Cold War or the apartheid regime, banning land mines and the establishment of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Successes are due in large part to the commitment of civil society.
