They have been selected by the PACEY Award Jury from 75 youth projects nominated for the award from around the world. The three winning projects will be selected by vote at the PACEY Award Ceremony on January 23. They will each receive a prize of €5000 plus organizational support.

Physicians for Social Responsibility Switzerland (the Swiss affiliate of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War) is a co-founder and coalition partner of the Basel Peace Office

The 2025 retreat of PSR/IPPNW Switzerland took place from October 3–6 at Villa Edera in Auressio (Ticino), gathering long-standing members and new collaborators for four days of inspiring presentations, discussions, and reflection in a warm and collegial atmosphere.

Yesterday (August 29) at the United Nations in Geneva, a group of civil society organizations launched NuclearAbolitionDay.org, a platform for civil society actions and events to commemorate the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons (‘Nuclear Abolition Day’).

Basel hosts successful Good Future Forum

Basel Peace Office hosted a very successful Good Future Forum from August 13-15, 2025. The forum brought world futurists, youth leaders and experts together to discuss peace, nuclear weapons, climate change and Artificial Intelligence.

The Forum opened with a captivating keynote address by Gerd Leonhard, internationally renowned futurologist.
