About the event:
The United Nations has declared October 2 to be the International Day of Nonviolence. Nonviolent methods and action are important to protect human rights, prevent destruction of the environment, support peace processes, end armed violence and secure justice for individuals and communities around the world. This webinar provided an introduction to the philosophy behind nonviolence, its necessity for human survival, the range of methods and applications of nonviolence and some recent examples of nonviolence in action.
